How to delete pages from a PDF on a Mac
Preview can do it. Open the PDF, choose View > Thumbnails, select the pages in the sidebar (hold Command to pick several) and press Delete. Then save. Preview changes the open file, so duplicate it first with File > Duplicate if you want to keep the original.
Preview works well for a handful of pages. On long documents, scrolling through hundreds of thumbnails gets slow. Typing a range like 20-85 in the PDF page deleter marks them all at once, and it works the same on any computer.

Windows has no PDF page editor built in, but the print dialog can fake one. Open the PDF in a browser such as Edge or Chrome, press Ctrl+P, choose "Microsoft Print to PDF" or "Save as PDF", and enter only the pages you want to keep under custom pages.
The catch: printing creates a new file from scratch, so links, bookmarks and form fields can be lost. A dedicated tool removes pages without rebuilding the rest of the document.
Tidy the rest of the document
Once the unwanted pages are gone, the order may need fixing. Rearrange PDF Pages lets you drag pages into place and rotate any that were scanned sideways. If the finished file is still heavy, compress it before sending. The guide on how to reduce PDF file size explains which level to pick.
If the pages you removed carried page numbers, the remaining numbers will now have gaps. Numbers that were printed on the pages cannot be renumbered, but a clean PDF without numbers can get fresh ones with Add Page Numbers.
How to delete pages from a password-protected PDF
A PDF that needs a password to open has to be unlocked before any page can be removed. Use Unlock PDF with the password, delete the pages, then lock the result again with Protect PDF if it still needs protection.
Some PDFs open freely but block editing. Those unlock without a password too, since the restriction is only a permission setting. Once unlocked, the thumbnails load normally and you can mark pages as usual.
